To Whom It May Concern:
We hosted Peter Ferrito's Leadership Workshop in 1999 and 2000 at Westwood High School (Round Rock ISD, Texas). It was at that point that we began to utilize student leaders to a far greater extent than we had done previously. Student trust and responsibility were emphasized, with the idea that involvement in a band student organization was similar to involvement in government, and that the entire process was a learning experience for real life.
Peter's curriculum material is well-organized, creative, provocative, and full of outstanding information. Certainly, the activities and material contents are relevant not only to band, but to other student organizations as well.
