Dear Peter,
I want you to know what a great job you have done with my student leaders. I would say that the small influences you have made on the a few people have mushroomed into the greatest single improvement in the band program here at Dulles High School in the last 20 years.
The positive attitudes, the burning desire to be part of the solution, and the personality changes you have kindled have impacted not only those kids you work directly with but, through them, the entire band and probably the school outside the band.
I greatly appreciate your willingness to change your program enough for me so that the emphasis is not on "winning" every competition, but on "doing your best" at every endeavor. I truly believe you make a difference in the lives of those you work with.
